We think contributing to society is very important. We recognise our social responsibility and have a strong fundraising and volunteering culture, both as a business and as individuals.

Over the last few years, our team has been involved in a wide range of fundraising and community initiatives to support causes both in the UK and overseas.

We support charities that our team and our clients have strong affiliations with.

Missing People

CIL has partnered with the UK charity Missing People since 2015. Missing People is a lifeline for the 250,000 children and adults that go missing each year in the UK. It helps families to search for missing people and provides specialised support to ease the heartache and confusion for the loved ones left behind.

CIL continues to support Missing People through various fundraising initiatives as well as providing pro-bono consulting support on strategic transformational projects. Jo Youle, Missing People CEO, said: “We are so pleased CIL is supporting us with fundraising and their expertise.” As part of our continued support, we have taken part in and sponsored fundraising events.

As a team we continue to raise money by competing in a series of events, including the Bath Half Marathon, 9 Hour Challenge and the London Marathon. These are not the only outings for our running shoes; every year we enter a corporate team into the JP Morgan Challenge and the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay, which donate profits to charity.

As well as supporting Missing People, the team and individuals fundraise for a number of other charities – over the years these have included AfriKids, Dorothy House Hospice Care, Macmillan Cancer Relief, The Rainbow Trust and Water Aid.

Firefly International

Our managing partner, Sebastian Chambers, is chair of trustees for Firefly International. Firefly supports locally-led projects in Bosnia and the Middle East that create safe, supportive and inclusive spaces for young people to learn, thrive and grow. Through artistic and educational programmes, Firefly provides young people with opportunities and support to develop their skills, confidence and networks, improving prospects for brighter futures for themselves and their communities. CIL has supported Firefly since 2009 by helping with administrative support and office space. CIL regularly supports events and is a very proud to sponsor the Firefly Annual Gala Concert at St Paul’s Church, Covent Garden. We also regularly donate our surplus laptops to a new school initiative in Antakya, Turkey.
